Dwayne Johnson Eyes Remake Of Kurt Russell Classic

Clearly there is no classic in the world that’s safe from the Hollywood remake system – with the latest reported victim non-other than the Kurt Russell masterpiece Big Trouble in Little China.

Hot off the successful release of his disaster blockbuster San Andreas, Hollywood heavyweight Dwayne Johnson is reportedly eyeing a starring and producing role for the unexpected remake of John Carpenter’s 80’s extravaganza.

The original starred Kurt Russell and trucker-turned-hero Jack Burton, who finds himself smack bang in the middle of a centuries old battle in San Fransisco’s famous Chinatown. Also starring Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall, Big Trouble in Little China is seen my many as a cult classic that, like so many others, should be left alone.

Even though the project has yet to be officially confirmed, there no doubt it will fail to hold a candle to the original, despite Dwayne Johnson proven ability to spin box-office gold.
